In Loving Memory of Loi

1987 - 2021

This website was created as a tribute to Loi Huu Ha. You can find information regarding Loi, wake and funeral services, and information regarding the Loi Huu Ha Scholarship here.

Loi was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He had positively touched many lives during his life time. Those that knew him would say that he was full of life, full of compassion, and had a infectious sense of humor. He was generous and always gave 100% of himself to his country, family, friends, and to his community.
We are here to honor Loi and keep his giving spirit alive.

About Loi Ha

 Life & Obituary

Loi and his family emigrated to the United States when he was young. He attended and graduated from Doherty High School in 2005. From a very young age Loi dreamed of serving others. He pursued this dream by serving in the United States Army in 2006 and was stationed in Iraq from 2007-2009. When Loi returned home he continued to pursue his dream of being a public servant by obtaining his bachelors degree in criminal justice from Becker College in 2016. During this time Loi also served as a security office in the mental health specialty unit at UMass Memorial and at Leominster Hospital. He then joined the UMass Police Department February 2017, in which he served as an officer to the day of his passing.
Loi was a kind, generous, and loving man with a great sense of humor. He loved cooking because it brought all his loved ones together; it helped that he was also a wonderful cook. He was so full of life, loved dancing, fishing, music, and had an awesome sense of humor.

Loi is survived by his mom (Re Nguyen) his brothers (Danh, Duc, Nghiep), his sisters (Trang, Thao, Dao, Trinh, Ly, Hoa, Binh), his nieces (Jennifer, Rachel, Jasey, Hayley, Linh), and nephews (Michael, Johnny, Ryan, Ayden, Owen, David, Vinh, Dang) other family in Vietnam, and his dog, Ranger.
